The Foundation is happy to announce its campaign for 2015-2017!  The Foundation has a goal of raising $70,000 to fund 3D printers and new STEAM lab modules at Field School and a Maker’s Space at Winkelman. The pictures below show what these look like.

3D Printing:

We are asking families to help collect supplies for the Maker’s Spaces. Please see the list below:

  • paper towel, wrapping paper tubes, plastic bottle caps
  • egg cartons
  • wipes containers
  • sewing supplies (needles, thread, fabric, felt, trims)
  • ribbon, string, yarn, wire,
  • standard size legos, knex
  • different types of paper (cardstock, wrapping, scrapbook, construction, tissue paper)
  • craft supplies (cotton balls, popsicle sticks, electrical or duct tape all colors, toothpicks, pipe cleaners, brads, google eyes, paper clips, empty thread spools, feathers,straws, clothes hangers, twist ties, rubber bands, pom poms)
  • marbles, buttons, beads, dominoes, pearler beads
  • playing cards (for building)
  • paper plates, plastic cups
  • NEW play doh, crayola modeling clay, markers, sharpies, crayons, dry erase makers
  • NEW batteries AAA, AA, C
  • NEW baby wipes, paper towels, baggies, foil

New STEAM Lab Modules

The Foundation is committed to providing hands on, real world experiences for our children.  3D printing, STEAM Modules, and Makers spaces are being used by best-in-class, cutting edge educational institutions and we are on a mission to bring these to our schools in the next 24 months.  Based on the Foundation’s commitment to raise funds, 3D printers and new STEAM modules were installed this year at Field School, and planning for Maker’s Spaces for Winkelman is underway for fall 2016.  Please support these exciting advancements!
